MANILA — The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) has announced the deployment of over 10,000 officers and support personnel across Metro Manila to ensure safety during the Holy Week and summer vacation.

Starting April 14, police presence will be strong at key locations, including 300 churches (1,071 officers), major roads (791 officers), transport hubs (399 officers), malls and business centers (592 officers), and recreational parks (982 officers).

Additional security will be provided by officers stationed at entry points (286), checkpoints (647), and more than 2,000 on foot patrol.

Around 2,000 mobile and motorcycle units will patrol city streets, while covert teams conduct security assessments. A Reactionary Standby Support Force is also on alert.

NCRPO Director Maj. Gen. Anthony Aberin emphasized 24/7 security coverage and urged both officers and the public to stay vigilant during the holiday period.
