History repeats itself: Covid-19

The same pandemic that is the coronavirus currently engulfing the world over now, actually happened many times over hundreds of years ago.

And history would show that plagues of epic proportions kept recurring since the first and worst plague threatened to wipe out humanity back in 1720.

History repeats itself

It seems that once in 100 years the world is devastated by a pandemic. To wit: In the year 1720 plague, in the year 1820 cholera outbreak, Spanish flu of 1920, and 2020 Covid-19 pandemic.

Researchers aver the pandemics mentioned above have exactly the same pattern as the coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan, China.

However, the precision with which these pandemics occur at exactly 100 years boggles the mind except that all we can say is, indeed, history repeats itself.

1720 Great Plague of Marseille

In 1720 there was a deadly pandemic of bubonic plague. It started in Marseille and was later called “The Great Plague of Marseille.” The researchers estimated the number of deaths as 100,000.

1820 cholera

In 1820 the first cholera pandemic occurred, somewhere in Asia. Among the affected countries were Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines. And this pandemic has killed about the same number of people. About 100,000 officially registered deaths. The main reason for the infection is the consumption of water from lakes infested with this killer bacterium.

1920 Spanish flu

In 1920 one of the most unrelenting pandemics occurred. This is the Spanish flu that has infected about half a billion people and killed 100 million. The Spanish flu holds the official record for the deadliest pandemic officially recorded in history.

Now comes 2020.

At the 100th anniversary of the Spanish Influenza, humanity is facing a new potential pandemic called coronavirus Covid-19.

Although the Chinese authorities were reluctant to make official statements and appealed for calm, the situation deteriorated rapidly.

Worldwide, the coronavirus has already infected 11,579,837 individuals including 6,269,860 recoveries and 536,814 deaths.

Nostradamus on Covid-19

As additional trivia, the world’s greatest astrologer Nostradamus had a poem written in 1551 yes, would you believe, about coronavirus (COVID-19).

Here goes:

There will be a twin year (2020) from which will arise a queen (corona) who will come from the east (China) and who will spread a plague (virus) in the darkness of night, on a country with 7 hills (Italy) and will transform the twilight of men into dust (death), to destroy and ruin the world. It will be the end of the world economy as you know it. (MTVN)
