ISABELA — TWO PEOPLE were killed when a military helicopter crashed while taking off in Barangay San Fermin, Cauayan City, this province on Thursday evening reports said.
The Philippine Air Force (PAF) said its 205th Tactical Helicopter Wing was carrying five people as it took off for NVG Proficiency Training at the Cauayan Air Station at around 7 p.m. Thursday.
The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines confirmed the incident as initial police report show two “bodies” were seen in the vehicle, with another injured and brought to the Isabela United Doctors Medical Center for treatment. Two other passengers are said missing.
According to PAF, aircraft recovery is being carried out to confirm the number of casualties. It said it will further conduct a probe to determine the cause of the crash. (With reports by Benjamin Cuaresma)
