CALABARZON — Department of Health-Calabarzon Regional Director Dr. Eduardo C. Janairo on Friday announced the temporary closure of the regional office here from July 27-31, 2020 as seven office staff members test positive for Covid-19 after a swab testing was conducted to all employees last Monday.
“We have decided to temporarily close the office to give time for an office-wide cleaning and conduct disinfection activity in all its premises,” Dr. Janairo said.
“Those found positive of the virus will undergo strict quarantine and isolation as per requirement to prevent its further spread. These measures shall be employed to ensure the health and safety of the employees and the public as well,” he added.
However, the director said their office will not be totally locked down as other staff members will be “on a work-from-home (WFH) basis to continuously provide the necessary services needed.”
Official communications at the provincial office may also be made through the DOH-CALABARZON official website at email@example.com.
Janairo also reiterated that the three most important health habit that people must religiously follow are social distancing, wearing a face mask and proper hand washing.
“Kailangang gawin na natin itong mainstream or normal behavior dahil itong mga ito ang makakapagbigay ng proteksyon at magliligtas sa atin laban sa anumang sakit.”
“Napakaimportante na lahat tayo ay magtulungan and do our own part in the fight against the COVID-19 virus,” Janairo said.
The DOH-Calabarzon Regional Office is located at the Quirino Memorial Medical Center Compound in Project 4, Quezon City.
The office will resume its regular operations on August 3, 2020.
