MANILA – Former Mandaue City local chief executive Luigi Quisumbing has been appointed Deputy Director-General of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

In his post on social media shortly after President Duterte delivered his fifth SONA, Quisumbing thanked PRRD for his trust and confidence in appointing him.
Here is the full text of his message on FB:
“I am happy with the measured, clear, concrete and achievable directives issued by PRRD during the (5th) SONA to guide the country as we embark upon the “new normal.”
COVID has devastated economies worldwide and now we have a clear map to economic recovery. On my part, I am enthusiastic to be able to do my small part to rebuild the nation.
I have been informed that the President has appointed me as a Deputy Director General of TESDA and I cannot wait to serve under DG Lapena and the rest of the TESDA team to provide quality and world class skill courses for those that are unemployed or those that have lost their jobs during the pandemic towards economic recovery.
I am grateful to the President for his confidence in me and assure him I will do my part to see his vision come to fruition.”
It was not however immediately known when will Quisumbing take his oath of office. (MTVN)
