Resigned PhilHealth anti-fraud exec tags Morales “coddler or may have been the new leader of the syndicate”

President Duterte has already ordered an investigation over fresh allegations of corruption at PhilHealth

MANILA — Resigned Philippine Health Insurance Corp.  anti-fraud legal officer Thorrsson Montes Keith claims PhilHealth president and CEO Ricardo Morales “coddler or may have been the new leader of the syndicate” allegedly preying on the premiums paid by members of the state medical insurer.

In his two-page prepared statement addressed to the PhilHealth president dated July 26, Keith stated that irregularities remained and is allegedly “widespread” even as President Duterte sacked senior executives allegedly behind the “ghost” dialysis patients scam and other fraudulent transactions a year ago.

Keith also pointed out in his statement saying that “I believe that you, BGen Morales (PCEO, PhilHealth), may have become the cuddler (sic) or may have been the new leader of the syndicate in PhilHealth.”
