Mandatory wearing of face shields begins Aug 15

Effective Saturday, 15 August 2020, passengers and workers in all modes of public transport in Metro Manila will all be required to wear face shields aside from face masks to keep Covid-19 away per the Department of Transportation and Communications.

Wearing of face masks and face shields keep the virus off at 99% the agency said earlier and this is the reason why stalls like this in Pasay City are experiencing brisk sales lately of the said product mostly China made.

On Wednesday, 05 August 2020, the DOTr sent out a memo instructing stakeholders in the transport sector to strictly enforce and follow the mandatory wearing of face shields (aside from face masks) for all passengers in areas where public transportation is allowed.
