AFTER his recent admission that he is COVID 19 positive, actor and Senator Bong Revilla went live via his Facebook page to give an update about his condition.
He revealed that he thought it was sore eyes since they appeared reddish. He immediately went to his ophthalmologist for a check up and he was told that it was an early symptom of COVID 19.
He refused to believe that he was already infected with the disease but insisted it was just sore eyes or allergies. Nevertheless, he still submitted to swab test and immediately isolated himself.
In his video, although quite blurry, he is in an isolation room and expressed his complicated situation of being alone. He shared his physical condition like chilling, having fever and headache especially when he coughs.
“Ang hirap pala ng ganito, walang makatulong sa iyo, bagsak ka. Pero ganunpaman,eto, lalaban po ako. COVID lang ito, kailangang labanan natin ito.” (It’s so hard to be in this, nobody could help you, you’re down. But I will fight. This is just COVID. We need to fight this), Bong said.
He understands that his family cannot help him at this time to avoid contamination. So he has to contend to do his best to take care of himself.
For his medication, he regularly takes strong doses of Vitamin C and antibiotics prescribed by his doctor.
He is just grateful that his wife, Mayor Lani Mercado of Bacoor City and the members of his family were all tested negative except for one of his staff who was tested positive.
The Senator also lamented that his family had just went through a big trial with the passing of the Revilla patriarch, Sen. Ramon Revilla Sr., and now, comes another one.
But according to Senator Bong, if it is your time, then it’s your time. ‘Pag tinawag ka na ng Panginoon, time to go, you go. So I prayed last night, before I slept. I told the Lord, ‘total surrender ako sa Iyo, eversince. Kayo na po ang bahala sa akin. Alam kong hindi Ninyo ako pababayaan, he narrated.
He thanks all those who pray for him and appeals for more prayers.
“I need prayers sa inyong lahat po. Mga kababayan, ipagdasal n’yo na lang po ako ang aking pamilya,” the actor-politician said.
