BoC Port of Cebu intercepts 495 sacks of smuggled rice

The Bureau of Customs Port of Cebu has intercepted on August 10, 2020 495 bags of Myanmar White Rice estimated to be worth around one million pesos.

The seizure is a result of unrelenting intelligence and investigative work of the Port’s Enforcement and Security Service headed by District Commander SPAS Jerry M. Arizabal.

Before the interception, the ESS received confidential information that a shipment which arrived at the Port of Cebu from Kaohsiung, Taiwan on 23 July 2020 was loaded with imported rice.
