Quiapo vendors violate DTI’s P50 price ceiling on face shields

The Department of Trade and Industry already threw caution in the wind for vendors of face shields not to go beyond the P50 price ceiling per piece of the protective gear against coronavirus.

Yet, despite DTI’s stern warning, street vendors in Quiapo, Manila still went as high as P60 per piece of the face shields which are now selling like hotcakes after health authorities hinted mandatory use starting August 15 in public places.

Some online sellers in Sto. Tomas City offers the same item with a P35 per piece price tag and yet, delivered right into the doorstep of the buyer.
