Makati drug buy-bust amid MECQ lockdown

Two drug suspects were arrested in Makati City following a successful drug buy-bust operation on Wednesday, 12 August 2020.

Based on a report by IA3 Rome Matias Jr. to Director II OIC Regional Director Rogelito Daculla that was subsequently submitted to PDEA chief Wilkins M. Villanueva, the suspects were identified as Tristan Jay Ocfemia (26) of 2166 Calvin St., San Andres, Malate, Manila, a Grab food delivery worker; and Oliver Rogelio Benitez Capote of 5631 D. Gomez St., Brgy. Tejeros, Makati City.

Seized from the suspects were five (5) pieces of transparent plastic sachet weighing a total of .5 kilos of suspected crystalline meth or shabu allegedly worth P3.5 million.

Agent Matias said operatives has been monitoring the activities of the suspects for over a week before their arrest in the buy bust operation at A.P.  Reyes Ave. Barangay Tenejeros, Makati City.

The buy-bust was set in motion at around 3:30 p.m. by joint forces of PDEA SES and Makati police led by Police Maj. Tyron Valenzona, Asst. Chief Deputy Operation.
