Alden Richards adapts his business to the ‘new normal’

UNLIKE other entrepreneurs who prioritize the status and income of their companies more than their employees in this time of pandemic, Asia’s Multimedia Star and Pambansang Bae Alden Richards did not allow his staff and workers in his restaurants at Concha’s Gardens and McDonalds Binan to lose their jobs. “Hindi kami nag-lay off. Gumawa kami ng timeframe. Since cut down ang work force, by schedule na lang sila. (We did not lay off. We just did a timeframe. Since the workforce was cut down, they work on schedule”).

But he assured everyone that they will be back to working on regular basis the moment this quarantine is over, which Alden hopes and prays will be soon.

The Kapuso actor also made sure that apart from their salaries, he gives allowances to his staff including rice to cope with this pandemic.

His fans are just worried about his busy schedule despite the quarantine because of his successive TV commercial shoots. While other celebs are doing nothing, Alden is blessed enough to have Cosmo Cee, Oxycure, Magnolia and his DOH endorsements. Apart from these, he has another shoot for a segment on a special television project.

But according to the Centerstage host, he is taking care of himself against this Covid 19 pandemic particularly his loved ones at home.

He is back to the longest-running daily show Eat Bulaga with Bossing Vic Sotto, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Paolo Ballesteros and his AlDub loveteam Maine Mendoza.

And because of too much exposure, Alden shares that he  doesn’t go home to his family in Laguna often just to make sure they are safe from the threat of COVID-19.

He is just glad and satisfied with the system of his endorsement projects because the production staff and crew make sure they follow strict health protocols before they start their jobs.

“Obligado ang lahat na mag-rapid test before entering the facility, sanitation, checking of temperature, minimal people are allowed to be in the studio. Tapos may mga taga-IATF to make sure na we finish… kasi parang eight hours lang ang binibigay, e,” (Everybody is obliged to undergo rapid test before entering the facility, there is sanitation process, checking of temperature and minimal people are allowed to be in the studio. And there are people from IATF to make sure that we finish on time), the actor added.

His concert was supposedly set for July 25 but it was cancelled due to pandemic.  The said event is to celebrate his 10th anniversary in showbiz. He is hoping it will push thru later this year, God willing.

Alden busies himself with ARGaming when he has no showbiz commitments.
