Youth leaders file 29th petition vs anti-terror law

Sangguniang Kabataan officers and youth community leaders from Luzon and Visayas on Wednesday filed before the Supreme Court what could be the 29th petition to declare the anti-terrorism law illegal as it accordingly infringes heavily on their freedoms.

Filed with the assistance of the National Union of Peoples’ Lawyers-National Capital Region, the 105-page petition was filed by at least 20 youth leaders who also claim the Anti-Terrorism Act of 2020 (ATA) or Republic Act 11479 as divisive.
