Police, PDEA, army torch 9 marijuana plantations in Cordillera

Police and operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency torched down at least nine (9) marijuana plantation sites in Mt. Chumanchil, Barangay Loccong Tinglayan, Kalinga Apayao.

Worth of the uprooted full-grown marijuana plants was estimated to be around P80 million PDEA Director Arnold “Derric” Carreon said.

Vast as the area, it took the joint anti-drug operatives three (3) days to raze down plantation.

The operation was participated in by operatives from PDEA CAR, PDEA RO 2, PDEA RO 1, PDEA SES, PDEA IIS, PNP Kalinga, and the Philippine Army but not a single marijuana farmer was arrested.
