MANILA – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Saturday reported three new cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) among Filipinos abroad, bringing the total to 10,433.
It also recorded four new fatalities and nine new recoveries, raising the total to 790 and 6,654, respectively.
Most of the recoveries came from Middle East/Africa with 4,248 followed by the Asia Pacific with 1,050, Europe with 892, and the Americas with 464.
The fatalities, meanwhile, were also concentrated in Middle East/Africa at 509 followed by the Americas at 178, Europe at 95, and the Asia Pacific at eight.
As of this posting, the active cases are pegged at 2,989, at least 314 are undergoing treatment in the Asia Pacific, 192 in Europe, 2,317 in Middle East/Africa, and 166 in the Americas.
Compared to last week’s percentages, the DFA said the total number of recoveries and deaths due to Covid-19 among Filipino nationals increased slightly to 63.78 percent and 7.57 percent, respectively; while those under treatment decreased to 28.65 percent. (PNA)
