MANILA – Most parts of the archipelago will experience partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers on Tuesday, the weather bureau said.
In its weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the southwest monsoon affecting the western section of Luzon will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Palawan while the frontal system affecting extreme Northern Luzon will cause the same weather condition over Batanes and the Babuyan Islands.
The rest of the country will have isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said a tropical depression (TD) was spotted outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
The TD was last seen 2,590 km. east of extreme Northern Luzon.
“It (TD) is slowly moving in a north northeast direction. It is too far, and is not affecting the country’s weather,” Aurelio said.
Meanwhile, light to moderate winds and moderate coastal waters will prevail over Northern Luzon.
Elsewhere, light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will prevail, PAGASA said. (PNA)
