WITH THE OPENING of public schools on Monday, October 5 in mind, Vice President Leni Robredo has started giving 220 tablets for use in public schools.
The Vice President pointed out that the tablet giving activity was part of her Bayanihan e-skwela initiatives aimed to help the families and teachers cope with the challenges of the distance learning for students.
She added that the tablets were made available with the help of the private sector.
It can be recalled that last August, the Office of the Vice President launched the Bayanihan e-Skwela video series that aims to assist teachers and parents in delivering blended learning to students.
Initially scheduled on August 24, the opening of classes was moved to October 5 due to the restrictions from the modified enhanced community quarantine, which affected the preparation of schools.
On Saturday, October 3, the Department of Education said it is ready for the October 5 opening of classes and has prepared for any contingency that may arise.
