MANILA – The construction of country’s first-ever Overseas Filipino Workers Hospital is officially underway with the kick-off ceremony held Friday, 20th of November 2020.
No other than PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Andrea Domingo led the ceremony and graced the kick off rites for the construction of the country’s first ever OFW Hospital in San Fernando, Pampanga.
The facility will rise on a two-hectare land donated by the provincial government of Pampanga.
Construction of which was made possible with the P500 million donation of Bloomberry Cultural Foundation, Inc. (BCFI), an entity established by the operator of Solaire Resort and Casino.
Aside from BCFI’s donation, PAGCOR will also donate P300 million for the purchase of state-of-the-art medical equipment for the hospital.
Among other government officials who graced the kick-off ceremony were Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, Secretary of Labor and Employment Silvestre Bello III, Vice Governor of Pampanga Lilia Pineda, Overseas Workers Welfare Association Administrator Hans Leo Cacdac, and Undersecretary of Health Dr. Lilibeth David.
