MANILA — Another centenarian has been given recognition this month in the town of Pinamalayan in Oriental Mindoro province.
No other than Provincial Governor Humerlito “Bonz” A. Dolor handed the award to Fermina Faderon or “Lola Pinang” from Brgy. Zone III.
Lola Pinang received P100,000 from the Department of Social Welfare and Development as incentive under the Centenarian Act of 2016, which pays tribute to Filipinos who have reached the age of 100.
Governor Dolor stated that it is worth knowing our elderlies as they serve as the foundation towards a better and prosperous future.
The provincial government is currently on a caravan visiting various municipalities in continuation of the 70th Founding Anniversary Celebration of the province which was celebrated last November 15, 2020. (AI/FC/MTVN)
