Dolphy’s son Edgar Quizon dies of pneumonia, he was 63

MANILA— Dolphy’s son and also a former actor Edgardo “Edgar” Quizon, the fifth of comedian’s six children with Gracita Dominguez has died of pneumonia yesterday, December 15. He was 63 years old.

Edgar was part of the movie industry and became an actor in most of the movies of RVQ Productions, a film outfit owned by the Comedy King.

Some of the films he did were “Dancing Master,”Dolphy’s Angels,” “Good Morning Professor,” and “May Pulis, May Pulis sa Ilalim ng Tulay.

He was cremated this afternoon at the St. Peter’s Chapel on Commonwealth Ave., Quezon City.  This was revealed by his 36-year-old son Egai, his junior who said that cremation was a family’s decision.

“Mapagmahal siyang ama. Although may mga pagkukulang siya, pero alam namin na mahal niya kami. Naalaala ko siya kapag sabay-sabay kaming kumakain at nagkukuwentuhan. Mahilig kasi siyang kumain,” Egai said.

Egai is one of the five children Edgar left behind.

Meanwhile, Eric Quizon posted on his  Instagram account a message of goodbye to his half-brother. His message: “Farewell Kuya Edgar, may you find peace in heaven.

“Please hug Dad, Kuya Freddie, Kuya Rolly and Dino for me. You will be missed. We love you. Rest in peace my brother.”

Epy Quizon also expressed his message for his Kuya Edgar: “We will miss you, Kuya Edgar. Be with Dad, Kuya Freddie, Dino, and Kuya Rolly. Take care of each other.

“We love you. Rest in peace our beloved brother.”
