Early morning fire guts 50 homes, leaves 1 dead in Paco, Manila

MANILA — An early morning fire renders 100 families homeless and leaves one dead after it razed down 50 homes in a residential area in Barangay 823 in Paco, Manila.

A 54-year-old woman identified as Loida Reyes died while one was injured during the fire.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the fire started around 4:30 in the morning and reached fourth alarm before it was placed under control.
The fire damaged around P500,000 worth of property.

Residents who lost their homes are temporarily sheltered at the Manuel Roxas High School. (FC/MTVN)
