PDEA, PNP seize 3.4-M ‘shabu’ in Pampanga

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Authorities seized suspected shabu with an estimated street value of PHP3.4 million and arrested three suspected drug personalities in an anti-illegal drug operation in Barangay San Jose here on Tuesday.

Brig. Gen. Valeriano de Leon, director of the Police Regional Office (PRO) 3 (Central Luzon), identified the suspects as Crispin San Pedro, 28, a resident of Barangay Talang, Candaba, Pampanga, as well as Roldan Escajilla, 23, and Jover Quijano, both residents of 17th St. Port Area, Tondo, Manila.

De Leon said the joint operation was conducted by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 3, the provincial offices of Pampanga and Tarlac, PRO-3’s Regional Drug Enforcement Unit, and the City of San Fernando Police Station.

Seized from the suspects were more or less 500 grams of suspected shabu and the buy-bust money.

Charges for violation of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) in relation to Section 26, paragraph B (conspiracy to sell) of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against them. (PNA)
