MANILA — A kidnap-for-ransom group was apprehended by joint police operatives of the CIDG AOCU, San Pedro CPS, AKG and RID 4A during a hot pursuit operation last Friday, 08 January 2021 at around 2:30 a.m. in Southwoods, Barangay San Vicente, Rosario Complex, San Pedro, Laguna.
The arrested persons were identified as Qun Deng alyas Xiao Pei, Kang Jia Wei alyas Nan Lu, Gui Che, Shu Liu Tao, Deng Zi Yi, Feng Quin Xin, Huang Xiang Bin, at Nicanor Pantua alyas “Noki.”
The police operation stemmed from the police assistance sought by the manager of a Smartwin Technology, Inc. to the CIDG on January 7, 2021 on the kidnapping and killing incident involving his employee, Lyu Long.
Accordingly, Qun Deng demanded one (1) million RMB from Lyu Long’s immediate supervisor for Lyu Long and his friend identified as Liu Xue Xue alyas “Meng Mo,” both were allegedly kidnapped by Qun Deng’s group on December 23, 2020.
The supervisor paid-off 403,000 RMB, however, the suspects did not release the victims and continued to negotiate for the rest of the ransom.
After receiving information that Lyu Long was killed and dumped in a deep ravine along the road in Talisay, Batangas, the supervisor immediately reported the incident to his manager.
Police operatives were immediately dispatched to investigate and confirmed that the decomposing body was Lyu Long’s, based on the clothes he was wearing when he was last seen and on the video that was sent by the kidnappers.
The suspects still asked for the remaining ransom from the manager, at that instance, the CIDG coordinated with the PNP AKG and advised the said manager to convince Qun Deng that the remaining ransom will be in Philippine currency instead of RMB and will be handed over to the suspects for the liberty of Liu Xue Xue to which the suspects agreed.
The suspects and the manager agreed to meet along Silmer/Silcas, Bgy San Francisco, Binan, Laguna wherein Qun Deng and Pintes arrived on board a Toyota Vios.
Qun Deng alighted the vehicle to receive the boodle money from the manager. Then the arrest was made. Pintes was able to escape and a hot pursuit followed.
Qun Deng guided the police operatives to the house where they are keeping Liu Xue Xue in Silcres Subdivision, San Pedro, Laguna.
Thereat, the female victim was rescued and the kidnappers were arrested.
Meanwhile, Kang Jia Wei was also able to elude arrest, thus another hot pursuit operation transpired.
Eventually Pintes and Kang Jia Wei were both arrested along Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club in Binan, Laguna.
Pieces of evidence seized during the police operation were the following: one (1) caliber .45 pistol, one (1) caliber .9mm pistol; one (1) caliber .22 magnum; 70 rounds of assorted ammunition, boodle money placed in a brown envelop as initial ransom money for Men Mo; and Toyota Vios believed to be used by the group as mode of transportation for their KFR activities.
Investigation revealed that Lyu Long was killed in a resort in Talisay City, Batangas and was dumped in a deep ravine along Tagaytay-Talisay Road.
His cadaver was found on January 3, 2021 at around 3 p.m. by a local resident thereat who reported the incident to the police.
While Lu Xue Xue who was rescued by the police was allegedly first brought to the same house where Lyu Long was held captive, then was sexually abused by Shu Liu Tao and brought to a resort in Talisay, Batangas together with Lyu Tong where the victim was killed.
Investigation further revealed that Qun Den and Kang Jia Wei are both leaders while the six (6) others are members of the “Xiaopein-Nanlu Chinese” whose modus is to scout for targets, usually Chinese POGO workers and lure them either by offering women/prostitutes or by pretending to offer POGO workers to be interviewed.
Then the group will kidnap the victims and demand money from their relatives or friends in exchange of the victims’ liberty.
Once the ransom is received, the group will kill the victims and dump the bodies somewhere.
The said KFR Group is also responsible in the kidnapping of GUANG LIN on December 18, 2020.
Guang Lin’s cousin paid off the ransom partially, however, the victim was still shot and dumped in a creek at Brgy. Burol Main, Dasmarinas City, Cavite.
The victim survived the gunshot wound on his nape that exited the left side of his face and from abrasions he sustained in his body.
Guang Lin positively identified Pintes as the one who shot him together with Nanlu, Xiao Pei, Feng Quing Xin, Huang Xiong Bin and one Dong Xi, who were all present when he was kidnapped until he was dumped in the said Brgy. Guang Lin is currently recuperating.
Violations for Kidnapping for Ransom with Murder and Frustrated Murder, Abduction with Rape, Serious Illegal Detention, and RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Law) were filed against the suspects. (ARWEN PASCUA/AI/MTVN)
