Scattered rains expected across PH Tuesday: PAGASA

MANILA – Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, and Mindanao will experience scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the tail-end of a frontal system and a low pressure area (LPA), the weather bureau said Tuesday.

In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the LPA was last tracked 170 kilometers southeast of General Santos City.

Calabarzon, Mimaropa, the Bicol Region, and Western Visayas regions will have light rains due to the northeast monsoon.

The northeast monsoon will also cause isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds, moderate to rough seas will prevail over Luzon and the Visayas.

In Mindanao, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (PNA)
