MANILA – A magnitude 5.1 earthquake shook Ilocos Norte Tuesday night, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
The tectonic quake struck 54 km. northwest of Burgos town at 9:38 p.m. with a depth of 16 km.
Intensity II was reported in Burgos.
Phivolcs said aftershocks are possible, while damage is not expected from the quake. (PNA)
