COTABATO CITY – Some 35 patients have recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) as of Tuesday night, the Department of Health (DOH) 12 (Soccsksargen) reported.
Of the new recovered cases, 18 were from South Cotabato, eight from Sarangani, seven from General Santos City, and two from North Cotabato.
“We remain steadfast in closely monitoring all areas in the region regarding Covid-19 cases,” Arjohn Gangoso, DOH-12 spokesperson, said in a statement.
Meanwhile, the region also recorded 22 new infections on the same day with North Cotabato having nine; South Cotabato with six; Sultan Kudarat with five; and one each from General Santos City and Sarangani.
Since March last year, the region has logged a total of 3,964 Covid-19 cases with 3,463 recoveries, which is equivalent to an 87-percent recovery rate.
Active cases are at 359 with North Cotabato having 88; General Santos City, 86; Sultan Kudarat, 78; South Cotabato, 75; and Sarangani, 32.
