MANILA — It’s all systems go for the construction of the MVP Cybersecurity Center for Excellence the Philippine Air Force said Thursday.
Held at the Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City a day earlier on Wednesday, the groundbreaking ceremony of the center was led by Philippine Air Force Commanding General Lt. Gen. Allen Paredes and PLDT-SMART President and CEO Manny V Pangilinan, the guest of honor.
The first-ever MVP Cybersecurity Center for Excellence aims to establish a cybersecurity facility to enhance the cyber defense capability of the PAF in line with its modernization efforts towards Flight Plan 2028.
More importantly, it is a testament of the joint commitment and faith in the PAF and PLDT-SMART in their collaborative engagement to achieve a resilient cybersecurity posture for our nation.
This state-of-the-art facility will house the PAF Security Operations Center, Network Operations Center and Cyber Range which will serve as the training ground for future PAF cyber warriors.
Senior PAF Officers and other guests were also present to witness the momentous activity while maintaining physical distancing and observing health protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19. (ARWEN PASCUA/AI/MTVN)
