Ito ang naging pahayag ng beteranong broadcaster na si Ka Rene Sta. Cruz sa kanyang programa sa DZBB Super-Radyo.
Sinugundahan naman ito ng isang kolum sa online alternative news source na Maharlika.TV sa pitak ni Sixto Guevarra na La Industrial kung saan sinabi nito na, “Walang ilegal na droga sa bansa kung hindi nakakapasok sa mga pier at airport.”
Sa ginawang research ni Guevarra, sinabi nitong maaaring tama nga si Ka Rene na may mga nagkakanlong sa operasyon ng mga mga druglord mismo sa mga port na dapat tingnan ng Pangulo.
“President Duterte has shown numerous times he has access to various intelligence reports and he has not been afraid to expose those lists. The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) has a list and the Philippine National Police (PNP) has a list. The Philippine Army has one, too, and so on. Let us expose those lists especially if they involve agents who are in critical areas such as ports, or customs offices, or law enforcement agencies. And, consequently, suspend any government official, pending investigation, should they be involved in illegal drugs,” pahayag ni Guevarra.
Sinabi ni Guevarra na may isang Twitter post ang kanyang napansin na nagdadawit sa ilegal na droga sa isang mataas na opisyal mismo sa airport. Sinabi ng Twitter post na ang trusted aide ni MIAA Chief General Manager Monreal ay nasa narco-list ng PDEA.
Sa sulat ng PDEA Director of Intelligence and Investigation Servicem sinabi nitong: “In connection with the above, records check conducted shows that the name Joseph Miranda alias Jong is included in the Inter-Agency Drug Information Database (PRRD List) allegedly involved in illegal drug activities in NCR as of this date.”
Sino nga ba si Joseph Miranda alias Jong? Ayon sa MIAA website si Miranda ay Officer-in-Charge for the Emergency Operations Center ng MIAA. Ang kanyang mga responsibilidad ay ang mga sumusunod:
· Recommends development or modifications of the airport security, program to correct deficiencies to satisfy security of the airport;
· Conducts an initial comprehensive security survey and subsequent periodic inspection of the airport;
· Brings to the attention of airport administrations, authorities responsible for police functions, postal and other authorities, as well as operations and other organizations operating in the airport, lapses, and weakness in security measures and recommend procedures of their correction;
· Reports serious breaches for appropriate action to be taken.
Ayon kay Guevarra, “Kung authentic at hindi peke ang dokumentong inilabas sa Twitter, mapanganib si Miranda sa kanyang posisyong hinahawakan sa MIAA. Dapat itong imbestigahan at suspendihin muna si Miranda hanggang ma-clear ang alegasyon sa kanya.”
Una nang napabalita noon si Miranda sa pagkakabaril nito sa airport police na si Corporal Reynold Mata. Nakaligtas naman ang biktima sa insidente at hindi na napaulat pa kung ano ang naging resulta sa imbestigasyon na isinagawa noon ng MIAA.
