ROXAS, Palawan – Officials from the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development (PCSD) together with members of the Naval Intelligence and Security Group, Naval Force West and Bantay Roxas on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 successfully recovered giant clam shells worth P50 million pesos in a raid conducted in Green Island Barangay Tumarbong, Roxas, Palawan.
The shells were confiscated from Cristine Parcellano, 30 years old and Roque Lawan, 28 years old, both residents of the barangay.
The suspects were immediately arrested after authorities found out that they were hiding giant sea shells without the proper documents.

A total of 76 dried and fossilized giant clam shells were recovered.
The items are now under the custody of PCSDS who acted instantly after receiving a report of undocumented giant shells being stashed in the residence of the two suspects. (AI/MTVN)
