11 CTG members surrender in Central Luzon

CAMP Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga — Police Regional Director Valeriano T. De Leon on Friday, January 15, 2021, announced the surrender of 11 communist rebels as they intensify their Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (RTF-ELCAC) efforts in the region.

“The continuous surrender of members of communist terrorists’ groups (CTG) with the PNP and AFP is a clear manifestation of the effectiveness of the ‘Whole-of –the-Nation- Approach to end the insurgency,” De Leon said.

“I commend the efforts of our members in the police force for their effective information and dissemination campaign in the communities against and stop the recruitment and influence of these terrorist groups,” De Leon added.

“Our people have the right to live in a safer and secure environment without the CTG.”

De Leon identified the surrenderees as nine (9) active Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) members, a Milisyang Bayan and a Red Fighter member of CNT under KLG Tarlac-Zambales who all voluntarily surrendered to authorities on last Friday, January 15 in Nueva Ecija and Pampanga.

Among them were aka. Jerry, Ben, Carding, Manny, S4 of KLG Sierra Madre, S4 of Sandatahang Yunit Propaganda (SYP) and Organizer of Semi Legal Team Bongabon; aka. Diway, resident of South Publacion Gabaldon Nueva Ecija and an IL (iskwad leader) of Larangang Girilya Yunit (LGY) of Aurora Province.

Also, aka. Dondon, resident of Bongabon Nueva Ecija, Political Guide; aka Jeng, resident of Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija, member of Sentro De Gravedad Pampanga; Aka Renz, resident of Dingalan, Aurora and member of Sentro De Gravedad, Baler Aurora; aka Amang, resident of Gabaldon Nueva Ecija and member of AMGL NE, Gapas and BAYAN MUNA; @Bite, a resident of Gabaldon Nueva Ecija and a member of MB KLG Sierra Madre; @Mari, resident of Gabaldon Nueva Ecija a member of MB KLG Sierra Madre ; and @ Alim, member of Southern Tagalog command and Gabriela member.

The joint personnel of 1st PMFC, NEPPO together with, PIU-NEPPO, Gabaldon PS, Bongabon PS,303rd MC RMFB 3, RIU 3, RID PRO 3, CIDG Pampanga -PFU, CIDG RFU3,91ST IB, 703RD Bd and 84th IB 7ID PA facilitated the surrender of the said CTG members who confiscated war materials and guns including one (1) M-14 rifle without SN with 3 magazines and 30 rounds live ammunition; M-16 rifle with defaced SN with 1 magazine and 9 live ammunition; 3 units cal. .38 revolver only one with serial number and 4 pcs empty shells of cal .38 ammunition.

One (1) book entitled 12-Puntong Programa ng Pambansang Demokratikong Prente ng Pilipinas and other CTG reading materials; Two (2)Bandoliers; 1 barrel of Payless instant noodles and Rice in a 30-liter container.
While Victor/Intsik, resident of San Jose, Tarlac; and @Kulas, legal age, and resident of Mayantoc, Tarlac surrendered to joint personnel of PIU, Pampanga (lead) RIU3, 2nd PMFC Tarlac, 3rd Mech IB PA, 304th RMFB 3 and NICA 3.

The surrenderees will be endorsed to the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) to avail of the government’s assistance program for rebel returnees. (AI/MTVN)
