OLONGAPO CITY – Thirteen employees of the city hall here have tested positive for illegal drug use and are facing possible termination.
Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. said on Monday the employees were among those who were earlier subjected to drug tests and ordered to undergo confirmatory tests.
Two of them are permanent employees who will be asked to resign while the other 11 are either job order, contract of service, or casual employees who will be immediately fired from their jobs.
The city government had subjected its employees to random drug testing in the recent months.
At least three employees of the government-run James L. Gordon Memorial Hospital and another three from the city hall had previously tested positive for illegal drugs. (PNA)
