MANILA — The much-awaited general assembly (GA) of leading party-list group Filipino League of Advocates for Good Governance-Maharlika (FLAG-MAHARLIKA) finally got underway on Friday (19 February 2021) attended by nominees, officers, and a huge number of political leaders from all over Metro Manila.
Led by the group’s top nominee and FLAG-MAHARLIKA secretary-general Edwin Cordevilla, the leaders pledged their allegiance during the occasion using FLAG-MAHARLIKA’s slogan of three upraised fingers symbolic of the country’s three main regions (Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao) and the Holy Trinity (God the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit) in the pursuit of pro-people political service and action.
Attending a party-related business in Cebu, FLAG-MAHARLIKA president and second nominee Nicolo Martin delos Angeles, unfortunately, failed to attend the GA as they were not able to secure a ticket back to Manila together with wife Katherine in time for the event, which turned out to a huge success.

Flanked by FLAG-MAHARLIKA president Cordevilla and other nominees Ismael Amigo (third) and Edwin Sarenas (fifth), the Chapter leaders later took turns (in photo) posing for posterity before the closing ceremony. (Photos by Benjie Cuaresma/AI/MTVN)
