LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – A schools division superintendent of the province was placed under a 90-day preventive suspension to give way to an investigation of the administrative cases filed against her.
In a radio interview on Tuesday, Pangasinan board member Jeremy Agerico Rosario said the Department of Education (DepEd) central office is investigating the cases against Dr. Sheila Marie Primicias based on its inquiry with the DepEd Ilocos regional director in the past weeks.
Rosario declined to elaborate on the administrative cases.
The preventive suspension was implemented starting Tuesday.
In a video message, Primicias said “I welcome this (suspension) as it will give me an opportunity to prove that I am not doing anything wrong. I will leave clean, and I will return clean.”
She also asked the teachers, staff, and personnel of DepEd Pangasinan I Schools Division to support the officer-in-charge who will take over while she is under preventive suspension.
A memorandum signed by DepEd Secretary Leonor Briones designated Dr. Ely Ubaldo, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent of Pangasinan I, as the officer-in-charge school superintendent. (PNA)
