It’s been a year since Covid-19 ruined all our lives. Its lingering has already taken a toll on everyone mentally, emotionally, physically, and most of all, financially.
This time last year my cousins and I were taking turns looking after our uncle (a balikbayan) at St. Luke’s Hospital along E. Rodriguez Avenue who got into an accident. There was already a scare but it was a bit hushed then; until 09 March when one confirmed Covid-19 patient was admitted.
The pandemic gave us a lot of firsts, somehow. The first time everyone celebrated birthdays at home or in quarantine and had nothing special on the table as supplies were scarce. First time dealing with the interruptions, disruptions, and changes to our lives all in one fell swoop. The first time the holidays don’t feel like holidays and all. And a whole lot more.
A lot of businesses, restaurants, and even the top hotels in the metro closed down and some laid-off people, closed branches, or adjusted store hours just to stay afloat.
Vikings luxury buffet has always been our go-to for celebrations simply because of value for money. You get quality food for the price you pay and that is important.
My Mom celebrated her birthday this week and with a great deal. Vikings made her day.
As per my sister, who ordered the food, every branch has a different menu or food options. The promo is only for pick up or delivery (via Grab, Lalamove, etc.). You get to choose from different categories with an array per food category without repeating the same dish. It has a minimum of five (5) pax to avail at ₱600.00 per head. We only paid for four since we have one celebrant.
Here is my Mom’s birthday spread except the Cha Misua (Birthday noodles) that we cooked.
Affordability, Quality, Convenience, and value for money.
Check out the social media accounts of your favorite restaurants that you used to frequent, you might just come across a good deal like this.
Until next time,
