DOH logs 3K+ Covid-19 cases for 3rd straight day

MANILA — For the third straight day, the Department of Health registered over three thousand positive cases of the coronavirus disease, bringing the country’s total caseload of Covid-19 to around 600K.

To be exact, the DOH reported 3,276 new cases of the virus on Sunday, 07 March 2021, that shoved the number of total cases in PH to 594,412.

According to the DOH, 36,043 or 6.1% of the total caseload are still classified as active cases, or patients who are still undergoing treatments in hospitals and quarantine facilities.

At the same time, the agency lso reported 51 new deaths, bringing the total death toll to 12,516 or 2.1% of total cases, on its latest bulletin at around 4p.m. Sunday.

Recoveries improved to 545,853 after the DOH added 10,516 more recoveries, good for a 91.8% recovery rate.
