QUEZON CITY, METRO MANILA — After intense surveillance and monitoring, the notorious drug lord known as Kasmot finally fell into the hands of the authorities in a buy-bust operation conducted by operatives of the Quezon City Police District’s Kamuning Police Station (PS 10) while actively selling illegal drugs in his area.

PS 10 commander Lieutenant Colonel Alex Alberto identified the suspect as Joseph Rulloda, 34, of No. 2A Makabayan Street in Barangay Obrero, who has been listed as Kamuning’s Level No. 1 drug personality.

Rulloda was arrested by the police with his cohort John Oliver Sarcanlao, 24, of No. 46, South 17, Father Martinez Compound, also in Bgy. Obrero.

A confidential informant tipped the police about Rulloda’s illegal drug activities and this prompted the Kamuning anti-drug unit to conduct a buy-bust operation at Scout Tobias near corner, Scout Chuatoco to finally catch the suspect red-handed while peddling illegal drugs.

Seized from the two suspects were 10 grams of shabu valued at P68,000.00 as well as the buy-bust money used in the police operation and a mobile phone used by Rulloda in his drug transactions.

Meanwhile, three other suspected drug peddlers were also arrested by other drug enforcement units of QCPD.

Project 6 Station (PS 15) operatives under the leadership of Lt. Col. Hendrix Mangaldan nabbed suspects Allan Valiente, 28, of No. 20, Balayan St., Bgy. Alicia, and Erwin Delos Reyes, 41, of No. 35, Balayan St., Bgy. Bago Bantay, Quezon City, at about 12:00 noon on the same date, in front of No. 32, Samar St., Bgy. Sto. Cristo, Quezon City. Seized from the two were seven grams of shabu valued at PhP47,600.00 and the buy-bust money.

In a similar buy-bust operation, Holy Spirit Station (PS 14) operatives Lt. Col. Jeffrey Bilaro were able to apprehend Albert Falsario, 34, of No. 96, General Avenue in Bgy. Sangandaan at around 8:35 in the evening of March 19, at a secluded spot on Quirino Ave. Confiscated from Bilaro were four (4) grams of shabu valued at PhP27,200.00, and the buy-bust money.
