TARLAC CITY, Tarlac – At least 40 more Tarlaqueños have recovered from coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) as confirmed by the Department of Health (DOH) on Wednesday.
These brought the total number of recoveries in the province to 1,820 while the active cases went down to 356.
Based on the report of the Tarlac Covid-19 Task Force, 19 of the new recoveries came from this city, six from Paniqui, four from Bamban, two each from Capas, Concepcion, Moncada, and Ramos, and one each from Mayantoc, Camiling, and Gerona.
Meanwhile, there are 28 new Covid-19 cases reported, bringing the total tally to 2,258.
Of the new Covid cases, the task force said seven came from this city, six from Victoria, three from Gerona and Bamban, two each from Camiling and Lapaz, and one each came from Anao, Capas, Paniqui, Moncada, and Concepcion.
The number of fatalities rose to 82 with the death of a 57-year-old woman from Capas town.
Governor Susan Yap asked Tarlaqueños to continue to be vigilant and support the provincial government in its fight against Covid-19.
Yap also thanked the medical front-liners, including doctors, nurses, medical technologists, and other health workers, who helped in the province’s continuing battle against Covid-19. (PNA)
