CAMP Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Members of the Philippine National Police–Region 3 started receiving their vaccine jabs against Covid-19 yesterday, Friday, during the ceremonial roll-out held at the Post Grandstand of Camp Julian Olivas in San Fernando, Pampanga.
Regional Director Valeriano T. De Leon said that 179 personnel from the Medical Reserve Force (MRF) from the various police offices were among the first to receive the Astra Zenica vaccine.
“It is important to emphasize that even as vaccines start to roll out here in PRO3, vaccines will complement, and not replace, the standard health measures that we know work. I urge everyone to please keep washing your hands, observe social distancing, wear masks and face shields all the time.”
“Get vaccinated when it is your turn, now is not the time to let up, now is not the time to let our guard down, our lives are at stake,” De Leon stated in his message.
As of today, there are 111 active cases of Covid-19 in PRO3. (AI|MTVN)
