ANGELES City, Pampanga — Angeles City Police Office arrested an individual for the illegal sale of ammunition and violation of Republic Act 10591 also known as the “Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act” which prohibits the unlawful acquisition or possession of ammunition.
The suspect, identified only as alias “Christian, was penalized with a minimum prison term of six (6) to twelve (12) years acting Angeles City Police Director Rommel Sta Ana Batangan said.
Based on the police report, the suspect was arrested in an entrapment operation conducted by authorities at Block 3 Lot 32 Phase 5, Barangay Cutud, Angeles City on March 24, 2021, at around 1:30 p.m.
“The operatives were able to buy one unit of .38 caliber revolver without serial number and with inserted two live ammunition, utilizing pre-marked money of 500-peso bill with four pieces of 500-peso boodle money,” Batangan stated.
The suspect, together with the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to Angeles City Police Station 3 for documentation and proper disposition. Complaints about the Violation of RA 10591 were filed against the suspect at the Angeles City Prosecutors Office. (AI/MTVN)
