Leaving a Legacy by C. de los Angeles
In the latest Pulse Asia Survey, Senator Manny Pacquiao has the solo lead and tops the list even beating other contenders like Isko Moreno, BBM, Grace Poe and Sara Duterte. While in the presidential preference in the same survey based on a standard margin of error of +/- 3 he is statistically tied for second place is Sen. Manny Pacquiao, BBM, Grace Poe and Isko Moreno with Sara Duterte leading the list.
Tradition dictates that on Senatorial surveys those in top 3 rarely change places until proclamation and normally those leading the senate surveys are strong contenders for a run at the Presidency.
While Presidential survey’s these never give a clear indication of who will win the presidency. In fact all presidential frontlines in past elections have traditionally lost. Raul Roco, Manny Villar, Jejomar Binay to name a few.
In fact, for those superstitious it may even be a bad sign or bad omen to lead in the presidential survey before the filing of candidacy as history will dictate that they never win.
The Fighting Pride of the Philippines, Senator Manny Pacquiao’s good and clean heart for the people is resonating throughout the country. It is funny that everyone including his opponents agree on the sincerity and selfless love he has for the country. In fact the main argument against the Senator may even be that he is too nice to be President. On the contrary, I believe this is exactly what the country needs.
Matthew 18:3 says “Then he said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of heaven”
Sen. Manny Pacquiao’s childlike innocence, idealism and honest love for the country and his countrymen is what this country needs. It maybe the key to bring heaven on earth and deliver our country to greatness.
