TARLAC CITY, Tarlac – Twenty-four more Tarlaqueños have recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) as confirmed by the Department of Health (DOH) on Tuesday.
This brought the total number of recoveries in the province to 1,844 and the active cases down to 526.
Based on the report of the Tarlac Covid-19 Task Force, the new recoveries came from Capas town with eight; Tarlac City with seven; Sta. Ignacia with four; Gerona with two and one each from Concepcion, Mayantoc and Paniqui.
On the other hand, 23 new Covid-19 cases were reported in the province, bringing the total number of cases to 2,459.
The new confirmed cases came from this city with 11; Concepcion with six; Moncada with four; and one each from La Paz and Sta. Ignacia.
The task force also reported that three Tarlaqueños died of the dreaded disease, bringing the total number of deaths to 89.
Meanwhile, Governor Susan Yap reminded the public that only essential travel into and out of the province shall be allowed.
To monitor the entry and exit of individuals to Tarlac, she said travelers are required to present the travel pass issued by the provincial government.
Yap asked for the cooperation of the Tarlaqueños by complying with the minimum health protocols to curb the rising cases of Covid-19.
“Isa lang po ang hinihiling ko sa inyo na maki-cooperate kayo sa kinauukulan (I have only one appeal from you. Please cooperate with the authorities) Stay home. Practice safe physical distancing. Naiintindihan ko po na kailangan ninyo bumili ng mga essential needs. Pero pag nagpunta po tayo sa mga crowded places, siguraduhin po na may distansya sa isa’t isa (I understand that you need to buy essential needs. But when you go to crowded places, make sure that there is distance from each other). Stay safer,” the governor said in an earlier video message. (PNA)
