UNITED States — A shooting at a Southern California office building on Wednesday left four people dead, including a child, as cops wounded and arrested the suspect, authorities said.
It is the third mass shooting in the United States in two weeks after a shooting at Atlanta spas killed eight people, including six Asian women, and 10 people were killed at a Boulder, Colorado grocery store.
Officials with the Orange Police Department said officers were fired on and returned fire, hitting the suspect whose name has not yet been released.
The shooting happened at around 5.30 pm at 202 W. Lincoln Avenue in Orange — a small, two-story office building that houses a number of small businesses, the Orange Police Department posted on Facebook.
Police have not yet released a motive for the attack but a screenshot from an Orange Talk group on Facebook indicated that the shooting happened at a family therapist office and that a husband killed his wife and child as well as two other victims.
Signs outside indicated a handful of businesses were located there, including an insurance office, a financial consulting firm, a legal services business, and a phone repair store.
Lt. Jennifer Amat, a spokeswoman for the Orange Police Department, said the shooting started inside one of the suites in the complex before it moved to an outside courtyard. (AI|MTVN|Courtesy|MailOnline)
