MANILA — Despite the alert status of most police personnel to monitor quarantine violators in the city, local police operatives were able to arrest two wanted persons in the latest anti-criminality operations conducted by the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) on Good Friday.
At around 3:40 in the afternoon of April 2, operatives from the Batasan Police Station (PS 6) under the leadership of Lieutenant Colonel Romulus Gadaoni nabbed Mariano Villar (46) at his residence on No. 1518 Samaka Street in Barangay Commonwealth.
Villar was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest for Violation of Section 11 of Republic Act 9165 issued by Hon. Regional Trial Court Branch 228 presiding judge Mitushealla Manzanero-Casino, with no bail, recommended.
Meanwhile, another police team from Project 6 Police Station (PS 15) under Lt. Col. Hendrix Mangaldan formally arrested respondent Mary Ann Reyes, 36, of Block 5, Avocado St. in Bgy. West Rembo, Makati City, at about 11:40 in the morning of April 2.
Reyes was taken into custody by the QC police while she was at the Makati City Central Police Station Custodial Facility at the corner of Ayala Avenue and Yakal St.
The respondent was arrested by virtue of an arrest warrant for violation of Section 15 of Article II of RA 9165 (Dangerous Drugs Board) issued by RTC Branch 227 judge Romel Odronia, with a recommended bail of PhP20,000.00. (AI/MTVN)
