MANILA — Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso got his Sinovac jab on Easter Sunday in line with President Duterte’s order for local chief executives in high-risk areas to get vaccinated.
Popularly known as “Yormi,” the mayor got his first Coronavac (Sinovac) jab at the Osmena High School in Tondo district.
It was administered by no other than Manila Vice Mayor Maria Shielah “Honey” Lacuna, who is also a medical practitioner.
The Chief Executive has recently approved the recommendation of the Interagency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases to authorize mayors in high-risk cities and municipalities to get vaccinated.
Manila has accumulated cases of 43,179 of the coronavirus including 38, 259 recoveries and 909 deaths.
Active cases in the Capital city of the Philippines is pegged at 4,012. (AI/MTVN)
