BACOLOD CITY – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) has seized some PHP1.935 million worth of shabu and arrested 67 drug personalities in various operations in March this year.
Data released by the BCPO on Monday showed 284.584 grams of the prohibited substance were recovered during 48 police operations.
Of the 67 suspects arrested, 62 were street-level individuals; four high-value individuals; and one newly identified drug personality.
The BCPO also filed 101 cases for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Col. Manuel Placido, BCPO director, lauded the operating units and reminded them to be always motivated in putting a stop to all forms of criminality.
“Make Bacolod City safe and peaceful amid the Covid-19 pandemic,” he said in a statement.
Meanwhile, 10 most wanted and 48 other wanted persons were arrested while four were charged for violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Act and 75 fell in 26 illegal gambling operations, also for the entire March. (PNA)
