MANILA — Right after Holy Week, the Philippine National Police (PNP) has implemented assignments reshuffle.
Police Brigadier General Ronald Oliver Lee has been designated as the new director of the Police Regional Office-Cordillera (PRO-COR).
A member of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) “Tanglaw Diwa” Class of 1992, Lee was head of the PNP-Drug Enforcement Group (PNP-DEG) before his new designation as regional director.
He replaced PBgen R’win Sta, Ana Pagkalinawan, PMA “Maringal” Class ’88, who was designated to the PHAU of the Directorate for Records and Management (DPRM).
A “mistah” (classmate) of Lee describes him as a “silent operator. Lee’s previous designations were among coveted positions in the PNP like being the director of the PNP-Pangasinan.
Another one-star general given a regional post is Eden Timpug Ugale, PMA “Bigkis Lahi” Class ’90.
He was designated as the new chief of the PRO-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
He will be vacating his post as head of the Peace Process and Development Center (PPDC) which is under the Office of the Chief PNP.
Ugale’s previous designation speaks for itself why he was chosen to lead PRO-BARMM.
Meanwhile, PBgen Remus Balingasa Medina, PMA is designated the new PNP-DEG director. (AI/MTVN)
