Cabanatuan police seize 200K worth of meth

CABANATUAN, Nueva Ecija — Members of the Cabanatuan City Police arrested two (2) drug peddlers carrying more than P200K worth of illegal drugs in a separate anti-illegal drug operation in the city yesterday, April 4, 2021.
According to Acting Provincial Director Jaime Santos, police operatives of Nueva Ecija conducted separate anti-illegal drugs operations in Brgy. Cruz Roja and Brgy. Lourdes, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija which resulted in the arrest of Albert Castro, 41 years old, single, and Valerie Ann Santin both residents of Brgy. Cruz Roja, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.

Among the evidence seized from their possession were twenty-eight (28) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected methamphetamine or shabu weighing approximately 30 grams with a street value of P204,000.

“Appropriate charges for Violation of Sec 5 and Sec 11, Art II of RA 9165 are now being prepared for filing in court,” Santos said.

“We will continue our efforts to wipe out all forms of illegal drugs in the province to achieve our vision of a drug-free Nueva Ecija for the safety and security of Nueva Ecijanos,” he stated. (AI/MTVN)
