CALAMBA City, Laguna — Mayors of high-risk areas in Laguna are now lining up to have themselves vaccinated after the Inter-Agency Task Force allowed chief executives to receive the vaccines as protection against the COVID-19, virus.
Three mayors in the province received their Sinovac vaccines last April 5 and 6, 2021, including San Pablo City Mayor Loreto Amante, Calamba City Mayor Justin Chipeco and Pagsanjan Mayor Peter Casius Trinidad.
They were accompanied by medical at health care workers, veterinarians, and members of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology who were also inoculated.
The three local chief executives encouraged those who are included in the priority list groups to receive their vaccine as protection against the Covid virus.
“Tanggapin natin ang anumang bakuna na galling sa ating gobyerno dahil mas makabubuting magkaroon ng proteksiyon laban sa sakit lalo na at matagal pa ang magiging laban natin kontra COVID-19,” Calamba City Mayor Justin Chipeco stated.
