DAVAO CITY – A total of 4,557 private healthcare workers here have started to receive their second dose of Sinovac’s CoronaVac vaccines, a city official said Thursday.
Dr. Josephine Villafuerte, head of the City’s Vaccination Cluster, said those who will receive the second dose were inoculated on March 8 onwards at the Mabini Elementary School.
The second dose of inoculation for private hospitals will run for seven days, from April 7 -13.
Healthcare workers from Davao Doctor’s Hospital, San Pedro Hospital, Brokenshire Hospital, Metro Davao Medical and Research Center, Davao Medical School Foundation, Limso Hospital, Davao Adventist Hospital, Holy Spirit Community Hospital, Davao One World Diagnostic Center, the City Health Office and infirmaries and private clinics are covered in the second dose roll out.
“The interval of the first and second dose for Sinovac vaccine is four weeks or 28 days apart, while those who have been administered with Astrazeneca will have their second dose up to 12 weeks after their first dose,” she said.
Villafuerte reminded Dabawenyos that despite getting the jabs, they still need to follow the minimum health protocols as wearing of face masks, physical distancing, and frequent handwashing with soap and water. (PNA)
