MANILA – The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) announced on Friday the arrest of 72 top most wanted persons (TMWP) from March 29 to April 7, amid the enhanced community quarantine in Metro Manila.
Citing latest data, NCRPO chief, Maj. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr. said the MPD has recorded the highest number of arrested TWMP at 31.
The Southern Police District, meanwhile, apprehended 26 TMWP, followed by the Northern Police District with nine.
The Eastern Police District nabbed four while the Quezon City Police District arrested two.
“Quarantine restrictions gave the operatives an advantage in conducting police operations which resulted in the arrest of these most wanted persons. Since the movement of the public from one place to another is controlled, it gave the operatives easy access in hunting down these accused persons,” Danao said. (PNA)
